Hi all. I have been cigarette free for 6 days with NO withdrawal symptoms. I was a pack/day smoker, and decided to see an accupuncturist on the afternoon of my quit day. This has been much easier than I expected! :cool:

Congratulations! I'm glad you found something that worked for you. I've never had accupuncture myself, but I do believe it works for many people, or it would'nt still be in use after all these years. That's great news, Challenge! :)

I had accupunture to quit smoking last Wednesday. I did this after hearing ex-smokers rave about the doctor that did it for them. Since the accupuncture, every time I smoke, I get a strange taste in my mouth, but other than that, I still smoke just as much. The doc says that it can take up to 3 treatments and at $50 a pop, I'm not really sure that I want to blow my money. My boyfriend offered to pay for the next treatment wich is scheduled for 9/26/05. I will let everyone know how it goes.
I smoke a pack and a half a day and have been smoking on and off, mostly on for about 25 years.
So, how do you feel that it helped you? Did you just not want to smoke anymore? Or did you have a negative effect after smoking that made you stop?
