I recieved the results from MRI and of course it was negative. I went and had my eyes checked ( blurred vision) and they said there is nothing wrong with my vision it was the muscles in my eyes.? Anyone know about this? The more i sress out over not feeling well the worse my symptoms get and know my right eye is worse than before. The leg pain I have with extreme fatigue is almost debilitating at times. I am only twenty six years old and this started six years ago. I tired of being told i feel this way because i'm a young mother with sress from life's demands. I 'm extremely frustrated and feel like a hypochondriac.
Oh, I failed to mention that the last rounds of tests(6 yrs ago) my ANA were elevated along with current symptoms, They told me i had Lupus , then said "no Its not lupus, i don't know whats wrong- maybe its fibromyalgia?" Does this sound crazy, am i just stressed out and need zanex?

Hi Lemom....I'm not medically trained, so my opinion is JUST an opinion. But all of your symptoms sound like MS.
Who checked your eyes? Optometrist or neuro-opthalmologist? I strongly recommend the latter.
I can't really tell you exactly when my symptoms began. I think most MSers go through years of misdiagnosis, whether it be at the hands of a doctor or self-diagnosis.
Three years ago I had serious vision problems in my right eye. Saw the optometrist. He saw nothing wrong, suggested it was a sinus infection and dismissed me.
In 2003 the symptoms became even worse..throughout my body...and my eye was messed up again. This time, because I got a new doctor who actually LISTENS to her patients, I was sent for an MRI...to a neuro-opthalmologist...and a neurologist.
The MRI turned up suspicious lesions...the eye doc found nothing but said I would likely be diagnosed with probable MS...and the neuro, after an LP, evoked potentials, blood work, complete history of symptoms and the MRI, concluded that all signs point to MS.
I said all that to say this: sometimes the tell-tale tests they use for diagnosis CAN come up clean, and you find later it was MS in progress. The disease is elusive in its early stages.
I truly hope you don't have it. But you ARE too young to be feeling so lousy. Keep pursuing a diagnosis...don't give up! Even if it means going shopping for a new doctor. YOU are in charge of your health!!!

Not knowing what's wrong with us sure can take it's toll, can't it? I too am undx and know that there's something wrong with my health. I was dx w/ Fibro but my PCP now feels that it's more than that. My first advice would be to find a Dr. that will listen to you. Yes, maybe we are stressed, but, this certainly seems to be a catch-all if the Dr. can't dx you. Keep seeking answers.
Also, get a copy of the MRI report as well as the rest of your medical files. How one Dr. interprets the results may be totally different than another Dr.

Lemom,
I am currently in the same situation as you. Including the eye problems. I was told probable Optic neuritis 2 years ago and treated with IV solumedrol. AFter that I didn't have a problem for a whole year. Now I have been having problems again since November. Neuro at that time said probable MS but another neuro said not. So I don't get treatment at this time. I have been pushed around from rheumie to neuro to psychiatrist. I go for another MRI this Thursday. My MRI's from 2 years ago were clean and so was my spinal tap. I am currently switching neuros.
I now have anxiety/depression on top of all this from the constant worrying. Tonight I am not seeing correct out of my right eye and i feet kind of numb down the right side of my face, arm and even my leg. It is not really numb, just that novacaine wearing of feeling. It scares me to death.
My eye doctor said for me to stop in his office tommorow so he can take a look into my eye. I haven't had loss off color vision (red) but I have pain upon movement of the eye.
I am sorry you are feeling so crappy too. It is a terrible thing to be hanging in limbo. It is really breaking my spirit down and it scares the you know what out of me.
I am always lingering around this board and others. I will watch for your posts since we are both experiencing the same thing.
Feel better...deb

Try to hang in there lemom. I am scared and tired of it too. I am 31 and have been dealing with this for 9 years. It is very frustrating. I will pray for you. I hope tommorow brings better health for you. deb
