those of you who have gotten demerol when going into the hospital..how much have you been given?

The amount of Demerol they give you depends on a few things.

How old you are.

If you are used to taking narcotic medication.

If they are mixing the Demerol with another medication (most will mix it with something that eases nausea and less Demerol works better so they dont need as much).

If you have taken Demerol before.

The doses I've heard that are given are anywhere from 75mgs. to 200mgs.. Less than 75 might work.
