View Full Version : Has anyone looked into Hyperbaric treatments?

Hi, I'm new to this type of thing, but I really appreciate some of the things I've been reading on the board. My mom has ALZ and I've been thinking that maybe oxygenation treatment in a hyperbaric chamber might be of some help. Does anyone know of any research in this? Has anyone else sought any help with this type of treatment for ALZ?

Hi True Babyboomer,

I have never heard of that being used for Alzheimers?! Have you read that it is so, recently? Where? Sounds interesting. Maybe someone will write back in the am.

Hope you find some answers. We are just using 10mg of aricept for my father. Is still working a little.

Take care. Wannabe

I haven't heard of this, but I would like to find out more about it.
Hyperbaric chambers are used for many things. I know that wounds can heal
easier and quicker, (I'm trying to recall what all else! Used to work in a hospital years ago-central supply- and went up to that unit a lot)
I'll do a search and see if i come up with anything Googled!
Good question!
