Has anyone heard of or used the diet patch? You place it on like a smoker's patch and it works 24 hours a day curbing your appetite and desire for suger foods. I don't know the proper name of the product though. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. thanks

I went to the docs today after my little episode where my heart was pounding out of my chest after walking home from weightwatchers... i asked the doctor for some nicotine patches to help me give up smoking.. his exact phrase to me was *ha ha it is all in your mind, they dont work at all, they make your mind think that your not craving, it is all in your head my dear* i quite beleive him.. you got to want to give up.. i havent had a ciggy since 4pm and it is now 8 30 pm and i feel happy for doing it.. now it is just 76 pounds of weight to go.. :(

Littlesheep - you poor thing! You're trying to lose almost 80lbs AND quit smoking! You're a stronger girl than me.

My parents just quit (or are quitting I guess) and my dad used the nicotine gum. Seems like he's doing pretty well. You might consider that. Having something to chew on will help with the oral fixation that smoking often seems to cause and will keep you from putting extra food in ;-D I know my mom used gum and mints the first time she quit smoking as a stop-gap.

I have seen advertisements for a non-prescription diet patch on TV. I don't know if they work or not. Wh not do a search on the web and see what you pull up?

I tried the patch....I think it was a waste of money.....it didn't work for me.....eventually I just stopped wearing them. I have a few left, in the bottom of my desk.....Maybe I can use them for stickers to hang something sometime! LOL
