okay well i just finished taking my very first 3 weeks of yasmin pills. I have taken as of 5 pm tonight 4 white pills so i should be getting my period sometime soon. Well today ihad really bad cramps and thought i might be my period so i put a tampon in because i would be shopping all day. well i just took it out and theres a little blood on it but its light.

my question is: could this this just my period or oculd this be spotting.

i personally think its probably my period since i should be getting it but i'm jsut worried because when i was on the depo shot i bled a lot.

You can have light breakthrough bleeding with any b/c pill. Use an ultrathin pad for a few days to be sure - using a tampon when you don't need it isn't advisable. If you're really worried, call your doc or the help line for yasmin (most pharm. companies have one).
