shooting pain in the back right side of my head sometimes going to eye This is what I've experienced as well. Like someone shot me in the back of the head and it explodes out my eye...sorry for the graphics, gang. My right eye as well, and the Dr.'s see nothing wrong with my eyesight either.

After listening to me for 8 months my PCP finally says he's 90% positive It's MS. Seeing 2nd neuro on the 6th. You really have to tell the Dr., even though they may think you a hypo., the sx have to be on your files and then they can start doing testing. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hey Lemom....if your doc tells you it's all in your head - find a new doc. MS can be active in the body before it ever shows up definitively in the doc's tests.

You could also be experiencing migraine activity that could bring on many of your symptoms.

Please let us know how you are doing!

practioner... Im sure your neuro will order an MRI as well as do the standard neurological exam in the office. This will help in getting a dx. I also highly suggest having an LP done if those two tests dont get you anywhere. Lesions can hide on an MRI, and as far as I am concerned, a LP is the most accurate way to measure what is going on. They know just what to look for in the CSF to get an accurate dx. But again... an LP seems to be the last step in the dx process... there are obviously less invasive ways to find out what is going on... but I still feel comfortable with the LP results over an MRI. Just my opinion... good luck to you.
