Hello ~
I was one of the ones in the 2WW thread, and unfortunately AF arrived for me today. So, back to square 1 again. :-(
I was wondering what CM is supposed to look like before, during, and after ovulation? Does it change in consistency or color?
Does anyone know what Vitex (aka..Chasteberry) does? When are you supposed to take it? and can you take it along with EPO and Robitussin?
Any feedback is most appreciated....

When I conceived my Daughter I was getting up there in age 36 yrs old and I did not think I was ovulating every month. So I did take Vitex or chasteberry herbal supplement, also royal jelly. The Vitex I had read did something to the piturtary gland that sends signals to the ovaries to start producing eggs or to ovulate. I believe it helped in conceiving my Daughter. :)

I have asked simialr questions about cm and from what I can figure out it goes like this
dry after af, wet sensation and creamy/lotiony about a week before O, ewcm about 3-5 days prior to O and then after it can do a number of things but usually is dry to creamy.
As for vitex, I started it this month myself along with robitussin and epo. I had been O'ing around cd18-20 but this month I think I o'd at day 15 but I am pretty confused about that. My cm was extremely sperm friendly though so hopefully it will work this month.

I believe it comes from a book on fertility...don't have and can't remember the name. The idea is that this cough medicine is an expectorant, meaning it breaks up mucous in your chest if you have a chest cold. It has been found to loosen or thin up cm as well and it really works I think!!! Thinner cm means for friendly cm for sperm.

I assume you drink this cough medicine, even if you do not have a cold. It is supposed to break up cervical mucus? Is this my understanding?

Yes you drink it and it tastes awful but really thins out your cm...doesn't really break it up I guess just makes it thinner. If you take evening primrose oil too then you get more cm and the robitussin thins it out so you have lots of good fertile cm.

Thanks Jordyn for the info. Where do you find Chasteberry aka...Vitex??? Health store? or does a dr. have to prescribe it?

It is a natural herb and you can get it in the health food store. If my charts are right I O'd 4 days earlier than normal my first month on it.

Thanks jordyn and lharmon37.... I found the vitex, and started taking it. I'm now taking vitex (started cd6), epo (cd1), robitussin (cd6), green tea (cd6) along with prenatal vitamins daily.....I sure hope taking these things help. I so want to have another baby.....as I know all of you do as well.....it helps a little coming on this board and reading everyone elses stories/questions, who are so similar to my own.
