 Help...my 12 year old just got diagnosed with severe demineralization osteoporosis....he is at severe risk for spinal fractures...he has had 3 fractures in less than three years. We have to take him to Children's Hospital in Phil. We are worried...he is so young. This is rare in children his age. He plays competitive soccer and we have to tell him that he can't play anymore...he is going to be crushed. Anyone out there who knows anything about this...please...please...respond. THanks SHELLEY

Please let us know what the doctor says at the Childen's Hospital. I hope they can come up with a treatment to stop the fractures and then he can continue to play sports.
