I am recovering from a c section and gallbladder surgery. These both took place in a two week period. Now six wks later my blood test stated that I am anemic. My Dr put me on iron pills twice a day. Is this Anemia common in people recovering from surgery? Also, are any of you VERY cold with your anemia? Thanks for your response in advance.

My daughter almost had to have a blood transfusion following a C-section last Nov.
Her hemoglobin was 6. She was put on iron pills. Recovered just fine. Baby is doing well too :)
When I had anemia, I was cold all the time....long before it was discovered I had anemia.

My Dr called today and said that my liver enzymes are still a little low. But I think this is probably normal after the gallbladder being removed.
Hope the baby is doing well!! Mine is growing like a weed.
