Human Growth Hormone will do a bit of what is claimed for these products, but as far as any researchers have been able to determine, it does not survive oral administration.
If given IV, there is evidence that for some recipients, it will help build muscle and decrease fat, espcially when combined with vigorous exercise (sorry). As to whether it can shorten the time you spend in purgatory or the other extravagant claims you've seen, I don't know.
hope this helps

Hello, The product sounds like "snake oil" to me. Too good to be true.

It certainly wouldn't do all of those things (or even most of them) for everyone who took it. From what I have heard, it would probably have a couple of those results for any individual (of course, one cannot predict which ones).
Though it is available for sale "over the counter", it is very important to take HGH only under the supervision of a physician.

I believe that HGH does do some good things from what I've heard, but I wonder about the possible long term affects. It seems that once we fool mothernature, that it sometimes can backfire.
In fact I think it's so good, that I believe we'll hear lots about it in the future.... http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wow.gif

I have some experience with this type of product from a professional stand point. I do contract market research for anyone that pays me to gather information for them. Last year I researched this product category for a major health food manufacturer. The following is the most important points of what I found. I have no opinion on the products use or experience with the ingredients I only did the background work.
Most Sublingual hGH supplements contian some form of animaal pituitary gland in solution. The theroy is that the presence of this in body will stimulate or simulate an increase in the scretions of the pituitary gland in the human ingesting the substance. The delivery system is usually alcohol based for rapid absoption in the lining of the mouth. This bypasses the natural digestion process in the stomach which would digest the animal matter as food rendering it useless for its intended purpose.
Some of the added ingredients include androstene, B vitamins, selenium, l-arginine, and IGF-1
IGF-1 or Insulin-like growth factor 1 is reported to be the trigger mechanism that stimulates the release of hGH in the body.
Another source for this type of product is deer antler velvet. This is harveested in New Zealand and is an important industry there. Studies, mostly paid for by the supplement manufacturers have found that deer antler supplies IGF-1 to the body better than other products.
That's a brief overview for those on this board. The real growth hormone, available by prescription works that's proven homeopathic solutions like those in all the spam email may or may not.
One more item, last year when I did the research there were three manufacturers that made the solutions. They supplied all 30+ brands that you find with product.
