Hello everyone,

we all know that the effect of vitamins and minerals can be increase when certain types are combined, just as they can also do damage if excessive.

I heard that:

- Vitamin C increases Iron absorbtion
- Protein decreases calcium
- Excessive zinc can deplete copper

Does anyone know of any others that can be added to the list?

I would appreciate your help, thank you in advance and take care!

vitamin C helps the body regenerate vitamin E. alpha lipoic acid seems to help preserve or restore both.

magnesium apparently helps calcium absorption, although clearly not so much as does vit. D (which is one of the most common deficiencies)
the idea that protein interferes with or depletes calcium seems more myth than fact. some older studies hinted at such a relationship, but high protein diets are the most effective treatments of osteoporosis in the studies done in recent years.

(By the way, copper deficiences are very rare in our society, and zinc deficiencies are not. So we should not avoid zinc, i don't think.)
