anyone know the best vitamins to take for gum or dental health? a few years I began to grind my teeth horribly in my sleep,a nd I believe this helped to cause the gum recession and tons of cavites the the gum line I now have. ANY HELP or advice would be appreciated, I am most interested in the things that can help rebuild my gums (yes i brush and floss etc, but all that hasnt helped my gums go back , and I am getting so many cavites now I cant keep up, and I dont even eat sweet things) THANKS!

Well, as far as healthy gums are concerned, a supplement called coenzyme Q10 comes immediately to mind. In fact, they even sell a coenzyme Q10 toothpaste.

ARIZONA73 is totally correct.
They sell these coenzyme Q10 toothpastes and mouthwashes in healthfood stores.
There very good for the gums.

Separate folic acid (400 mcg/day) taken 12 hours from a multiple (which also has 400 mcg) is also helpful. Don't exceed this amount though (800 mcg/day).

I agree. CoQ10 is essential. I noticed a big improvement in my gums from using this. They used to bleed occasionally after flossing but that never happens. I take about 75 mg CoQ10 per day. The added benefit to it is you get more energy and its good for just about everything in your body. ;)
