I'm so fustrated! If I hear one more time Kemp is fine! I know Kemp is fine but that doesn't mean he doesn't have Autism! I hear Kemp is cute how can he be autstic. I've even heard he doesn't look autistic. How stupid can people get there isn't a look for autism! He is almost three and barely talks he has his own lang. and grunts most of the time. If I hear "oh he is fine" one more time I swear I'm going to scream!!! Kemp is very HF, to look at Kemp if you knew nothing of autism you might just think Kemp is "spioled". or just different. Ah that reminds me if I hear "oh maybe he is spioled"one more time. No he isn't I don't treat him any different then the others. With the expection of somethings. But he is not spioled!!!!

Hang in there! I know the feeling all too well. My husbands family doesn't understand autism and haven't made an effort to learn about it. My mother in law used to tell me if I took her out more often it would help her. I took her everywhere as a baby and we did tons of things with friends, etc, so that was not it, lol. They stopped making comments after a little blow out we had in April. Now, they don't ask and I don't tell about my daughters schooling, progress, etc. Its sad, but less of a headache for me. My dad hasn't made any more comments about my daughter after I told him what strangers have said to me about my daughters odd behaviors. He thought she was just whining and needed her butt spanked.

I video taped all the autism shows that were on earlier this year. I am sending it to my mother in law so she can watch it and see what the other families and children are dealing with, what they go through, etc. We live 4 hours away from them, so they don't see the everyday stuff.

hi, everyone, i totally understand your frustration, people are so ignorant! nobody in my family understands autism and they are either frightened to death of her or treat her as you would a NT 4 yr old, i got told by my doctor before laces diagnosis, "rainman is autistic, you know the film," yeah of course i know the film but i don't want my daughter to be rainman! i too get told "but shes so beautiful" well would it make it better if she was ugly? i think we ought to make our own little city with shops,cinemas,bars etc and we should all live away from the ignorance (wow what a weird city that would be, LOL). if i didn't laugh i'd cry LOL.

I'm packing up! When will it be ready. And were is it located?!
