I have just been reading the threads on this site and am really starting to dread the next few weeks!

I am on day four of quitting my symptoms are:

Nausea
Tired all the time
Dont feel like doing anything except watch tv, sleep or eat
Constantly going to the bathroom from to much sugar free candy
starting to feel sad and a little depressed

This is so awful, can any one tell me how long these symptoms last for??I am taking nicabate lozengers and I am determined to quit as i have smoked 25cigs a day for the past 8-9 years, I am worried about my internal health but have really started to notice that my skin is ageing (I am 24)

I feel as though i am panicking slightly.. Is this normal?? I am also craving food like crazy!, i could eat ALL day, but i am having to stop myself everytime i walk by the kitchen.... I am eating so much sugar free candy!....

Does Anyone have any sugestions to ease these symptoms...

I know how you're feeling!! I'm also 24 and am on my second day. I eat all day long too. I'm basically trying to eat fruits and healthy foods, although I do have a treat when I battle a really tough craving. From what I har things will get easier (I hope ). I just try and tell myself that no matter how crappy I feel now, dying from lung cancer will be far worse. Let me know if you need any support, lord knows I could use it too!

Keep it up you guys! The good thing was a weakness for me too. I ate a ******** of food (luckily it was REASONABLY healthy). I ate low fat fruit snacks and a lot of rice cakes.

Try lollipops. Dum dums were my preference. It helped with the oral fixation.

Good luck!! :) :)

I think the nicotine is out of your system in 3 days, so the worst is over. Your'e just working on the psychological part now, it gets better.
