Hi all..Im not sure what to call it but for the past 2 days I have been experiencing massive pain on the right side of my mouth, the pain starts from my cheek into my neck and my ear.My cheek is swollen just above the jawline, the pain is so bad I cant move my head down or to the right.I also noticed some puss leaking out behind my wisdom tooth..Has anyone had the same experience? If so,what was done to treat this? I am DEATHLY afraid of having my teeth removed

Pericorinitis most likely,..or perhaps you have a bombed out tooth back there as well.
Extractions are ok and fear and anxiety are completely normal. But they all can be conquered if you are willing to get out of pain and take things at a pace you are comfortable with.

your choices to deal with anxiety and fear are
1) nitrous - laughing gas, is cheap, and safe, you'll feel stuff but you just won't care.
2) conscious sedation - take some pills, fall asleep, wake up with one less tooth, still in pain b/c of the residual infection, but you will heal and get better
3) general anesthesia - put out completely, don't recommend this, too risky for little benefit.

but the biggest thing is to find a guy that you can trust, who is gentle, and is willing to explain everything, and go at your own pace. you should feel no pain during the extraction, but perhaps a little bit of pressure. that's it. you should accept nothing less than that.

GOod luck.

Well,I w/ to the dentist and he said that my wisdom tooth is stuck in the bone & that its a good idea to have it pulled b/c i'll continously have infections =/
I may have to go in 2 days but I am soo trying to advoid it & come up w/ excuses to get out of it..If theres one thing I fear when it comes to g/ to the dentist is having to have my teeth pulled & now its g/ to happen..blahhh
