I am not on estrogen but I have heard many TV commercials on Prempro which is estrogen that claims among its many side effects being leg cramps.

I think the pain is coming from fluid retention. Read the side effects on the site. So, the fluid retention in my lower legs is causing the pain. I am lowering the dose very low, like 1 gram twice a week.

Thanks, I knew that there was big complaints about prempro. I took that for awhile, and they did not tell me my thyroid replacement would most likelly have to be raised, since estrogen suppresses thyroid function.

Since all that, I have been very careful about what I use.

Yesterday I was at my doc's office and I asked her for an RX for Estrace. She refused citing that it had a lot of side effects, the likes she did not elaborate on. I complained of external itching and pain with intercourse. I have a history of yeast problems. Wound up with an RX for Lotrisone. Seeing the difficulties you are having, I guess it is just as well. Good luck getting rid of those leg pains. I had that in May when my peri was really out of control. My calves hurt so much I stopped taking the stairs up to my office.!

Well, yesterday they were hurting so bad, I took 3 ibuprofen, and the pain went away. If I am on my feet for a long time, they hurt.

Yeah, the Estrace cream gave me side effects the first week. Had very sore breasts, bloated. Well the FNP had me take 2 grams for the first week, and I was thinking that might be too much,of course it was. Now it is 1 gram 3 times a week, and my breasts are not sore(thank God).I will see what happens.

It's funny. We think that because it is a cream that it is not as potent as a pill. Live and learn!
