I dont know if anyone knows about this medicaid program. Well it is in Tennessee. Unfortionatly our Govenor Phil Bredison just cut off half of Tennessee from Medicaid. He says to save money. But i lost all my medical coverage! I take $500 worth of medication a month. I have Epilepsy and need medication every day.I cant afford my medication even though i have a full time job. He did this to 1/2 of Tennessee. My mother in law was cut off too and she has tons of medical problems. her meds are more than she gets in SSI and SSD combined. I guess my point is: What do we do now?

I know exactly how you feel. I lost my coverage at the first of this month. I have to take a lot of medication also, and I can't afford it either. Right now I'm without insurance and I have been turned down from every insurance company you can think of. I know HATE is a strong word, but Bredesen is one person I could use that term for. He has ruined my life along with countless others. I hope everyone votes against him when the next election comes up. He is just practically killing people here in Tennessee. I cannot afford my medicine and I have stopped taking some of it because of this. I'm not sure what we do now. I'm here if you need to talk! Maybe we can come up with something.

Hello, I live in Florida, but my sister and her husband live in Tn. They are both disabled, her husband severly. She has mentioned Tenn Care problems. I just read in an AARP newsletter that they changed something with this law. They said it definetly was not fair to the people who deserved it. Maybe you could do some research and come up with that article. It was this months newsletter. I hope this helps.
Good Luck Bleego

I have never posted here before. I was not cut off but just as well have been. All my heart medicine is in name brand and 10 of my presciptions are not made in generic. Each bottle cost near $200 each. I worked and paid in Social Security all my life and now that man is killing me. My med comes to more than my SS check. A man in our community had open heart surgery this year and his tencare was cut out. He had no way to buy his heart med and died last week.

Gracie,
He also said he did not want any doctors to approve any med for GERD as he did not think that important. He obliviously has never read any medical text on Reflux and the damage it can cause to the body and the suffering a person endures if it is severe.
