im a new denture wearer like i only started to wear mine for like a month (im still adjusting a lot!) i just wanna ask regarding denture hygiene....like does it really matter if you have to use special denture brushes when brushing dentures? and are denture cleaners like Polident Dentu-gels and Sparkle dent effective? are they not harmful? i heard most cleaners are..... :confused:

normal tooth brush is ok.
denture cleaners are good!

My denturist here swears by using hand soap only, he says the store brand cleaners are hard on the teeth material.
I've compared my dentures to my step moms made by the same denturist and I will say she uses one of those fizzy cleaners and hers are alot duller then mine and mine are older then hers.
So to each their own:)
