Does anybody know about the effect of Chiropractic Treatment (adjustments) on patients with Epilepsy/seizures? I've heard people say that it can control seizures, and I've also heard that some Chriropractors won't touch a seizure patient. Does anyone have any personal experience with this? Thanks for your help.

My son's first seizure happened in my chiro's office. He told me how many times the seizures can be treated by chiropractic care and at least have less medication needed. I trusted this doc, had seen him for many years. I allowed him to try. IN OUR case, my son consistently had more seizures with each adjustment. I told this doc NO THANKS.......
I have a new chiropractor now and she will not even try to adjust kids with neuro issues. There is another in our town she says that will and is cautious. TO ME, unless it is clearly a neck issue that causes seizures, I stick to the neuros for treatment.
If you feel comfortable with trying an adjustment, go for it. BUT DO NOT change medication doses or anything on the say so of a chiro. If he touts CURE..........I would be really leery....
