My gum is receded on my lower tooth so I had a sealent put on. Is it for only temp sensitivity? or also for pressure? When I touch that area it hurts til. I know i shouldnt touch it but it bothers me. Any info on receded gums ?

Hello,
I was just wondering why you had a sealant put there. Also did your dentist reccomend this? My advice go to the periodontist. As a periodontal disease patient, I always say that seeing a perio is the best thing you can do. The problem with receding gums is they will only get worse if you do nothing about it. The perio will be able to diagnose your problem. Do not wait you must do it now!! Take it from one who learned the hard way.
