Hello,
Last Monday, Labor Day, I visited a girl. We had oral sex. The following day My throat was sore and a yellow discharge was noticed from my penis. I don't notice the discharge very often but it is still there. My throat is still a little sore as well. A burning feeling is not felt when I urinate all the time. Only slightly when I first begin to urinate. It has been nearly a week. Besides the slight burning when I first urinate and a faint sore throat and the discharge everything seems normal.
Is the sore throat connected with the discharge?
Do I have chlamydia?
Is there a way to get rid of whatever is causing this without seeing a physician? (diet plan, exercise plan, waiting it out, ect.)
I feel rather embarressed and unsure of what to do. I do not have a doctor or insurance or money to see a doctor. Thank you for any help.

Hi,
If you think there is a chance you have chlamydia try to get it tested as soon as you can. I myself had chlamydia about a month or so ago. It will not go away by itself you need anti-biotics to get rid of it. The doc will either give you a single dose or 7-10 days worth of dosage. If you let it go untreated for a while it could lead to more serious problems. 3 weeks after i finished my treatment i did a follow up re-test and it was gone. Best of luck to you.

No. If it is chlamydia, it will not go away on its own, and you need a doctor to treat it. If money is a problem, consider going to Planned Parenthood (they see men, too) or to your local health department. These places usually are low cost or charge on a sliding scale.
Good luck.

Thank you for the suggestions.
I am starting to think it is not chlamydia because all the symptoms have dissappeared. I have been taking natural herbs and supplements and lots of water and other such things. Maybe it went away.
If it comes back I will most likely see a doctor. Thanks again.

You might want to get checked out anyway. It is possible for the symptoms of chlamydia to appear early in the infection and then go away. Then an infected person might not have any further symptoms for years or even longer until the disease reaches an advanced stage, at which point the damage might already be done.
So it might be worth it to get looked at now, just in case.
Good luck.

75% of people who are sexually active and have chlamydia, don't know they have it. Sometimes people do not get side effects from it. If you are sexually active you need to get tested on a regular basis to assure yourself and anyone you come in contact with that you don't have anything. Chlamydia is very treatable. But it doesn't and will not go away on it's own. The doctors will give you an antibiotic, either a 1 day dose or a 7-10 day dosage. After that it will more than likely be gone.

Hi,
Ive just been cleared of chlamydia.. I had it for about 5 weeks and in that time the symptoms came & went esp if I was drinking alot of water. I noticed when I was hydrated that I was not feeling the burn when going to the toilet. I only had the discharge sometimes. Things smelled a bit funny too as if I hadnt showered.
You may want to get checked for Gonnerrea, its sympts are v similar, as far as I know it can also cause a yellowish discharge.
Even after the sympts were gone, I was tested & tested positive.. Then I had to take the antibiotics which werent expensive, only about 25 euro (30ish dollars?). They worked.

Thanks for the input.
Does anyone know of natural remedies for this? Like certain organic foods or vitamins?
I drink a lot of water throughout the day. Maybe because of that I have never felt the burning, like Shazwoz said. But, also like he said, it does smell funny.
I hear people say the symptoms are noticable about a week of the incodent and are rarely caused by anything short of unprotected sex. I noticed the symptoms about 1 or 2 days after I had oral sex on a girl for a short period of time. I heard it is very rare to get this from oral sex. Could I have something else? Or was this girl just very dirty? It has been almost two weeks since I was with her and I still have the symptoms. I have not done anything sexual with any other person within a year before her or since her.
I am still reluctant to visit a doctor. Are there any alternatives to getting rid of this?
Thank you.

This is the beginning of the third week. I still show signs of Chlamydia. However, the signs seem to only show up when I get an erection or stop drinking a lot of water.
I plan on going into get tested and get some medication. How much does it normally cost to have the test done and then for medication? I was told it will be 40 for the office visit and the test. If the test comes back positive it will be another 40 plus the cost of the medication. Is this resonable? That's 80 bucks I really don't have. And then I still have to pay for the meds on top of that :(
How long can you let the infection go before damage takes place? I am not going to be sterile after a month or two am I? Or have some erectile disfunction?
Thanks
