View Full Version : Strange white film on tongue and lump above tooth.

Anyone know what these two things could be?

Would imagine the lump is from a bothersome tooth I've had, as it's right above it. Basically the tooth needs a root canal down on it... root canals are expensive and because of the cost being prohibitive, I keep on putting it off and when it starts to abcess I get antibiotics and pain killers instead.

This I realize it a temporary fix, but it's worked thus far.... The past couple of weeks is when the lump started to show up, again right above the tooth.

As for the strange white film on my tongue, that's actually been there for closer to a month and while I realize I should have got this checked out by now, due to not having the best job right now (hard enough to both eat and pay rent right now) and because I'm stubborn about my health, I've yet to do so.

Any and all feedback would be appreciated here, especially if this sounds familiar to anyone.

Thanks guys (and gals)

I'm not sure about the lump, but the white film sounds like you might have thrush, (oral yeast infection). I just had that, you can get it after taking antiboitics or from some other medications. i just got a perscription from my oral surgon (who took out my wisdom teeth, and put me on the antibiotics) it was an anti fungal liquid that you gargal for a week
hope that helps
