I am trying not to drink so much soda, but I have a question. Which is better: diet soda or sweet tea? I know some sweet teas are made with Splenda, but I dont like it. Any ideas?

Hi fruitloop
Cute name by the way! I think sweet tea would be less calories than diet soda. I'll have to look that up. I know that I need to increase my water intake tremendously, but I am a pop drinker myself and that only increases the calories unfortunately
I think one sugary drink per week wouldn't hurt. Have you tried the flavor watered? Its yummy and I love the fizz!!

Sweet tea would be better for you if it's sweetened with real sugar instead of the crap they put in diet sodas.
Though it is best not to drink it at all, you can still drink regular soda and lose weight, just limit your consumption and include it in your daily calorie totals if you're counting calories.
I highly recommend sparkling water/club soda with a splash of juice (cranberry is my favorite) and a squeeze of lemon. It's bubbly, lightly sweet, deliciously refreshing and a great alternative to soda. I have actually grown to prefer it!

Do you like Green tea? It is good for you and it is pretty soothing, it takes away the sweet tooth. I put a little splenda in mine. Starbucks has a yummy green tea, lemonade shaken drink, try that!
My girlfriend recently lost 15 pounds. She starts every morning off with a green tea.She says it boosts her metabolism. She also walks one mile everyday and eats no fast food! There is also a black tea that you can get from a herbal store that is supposed to be good, never tried it though! Those are just my thoughts!!!

i would say diet soda is better than sweet tea. look on the label and aslong as its 1 calorie or less per 100ml then its great! they are classed as free calorie foods on most diets.
Better how? Just because something has few to no calories does not make it a healthier option.
