I have been on a real weightloss kick for the past couple years now. I am ready to make a life long commitment to weightloss, but it takes my mind and body to want that, lol. In other words I need to get with it and stop the yo-yo dieting because it is out of control.
So I have gathered some essentials to get my motivation for this to happen. I bought a pedometer that measures the steps you take and calories burned according to your weight.
It seems quite nifty and I figured the more results I see, the more inclined I will be to undo the damage I've done to my weight.
How many others use a pedometer? Did you achieve your goal and was it easire since you were actually seeing the calories you burned?

I used a pedometer for a few months. I don't know if it helped me reach my goals but it definitely made me more aware of exactly how inactive I was beening each day. For instance if you should be walking on average about 10,000 steps a day and you are averaging around 700-800 something needs to change. I don't use the pedometer now as I go to the gym 5 days a week but it was useful in helping me see the error of my ways. :)

Hi free2be
Yea it sucks when you know you should have for steps on there and not quite meeting that goal. I am frustrated because it always wants to fall off where I clip it too . Maybe it wasn't such a good idea after all. I'LL keep trying though because I am not a quitter, when it comes to my goals in life, however big or small. Thanks for the post, take care :).
