I haven't gone to a doctor about this yet but, I get headaches everday, since I was about 13 [I'm now 18]. I wake up with a headache and I go to bed with a headache. So bascially, I just have one big constant headache. I take 3 Ibuprofen about 2-3 times a day, everday. I know this is awful for me but, I don't know what else to do. Does anyone else have this problem?

Yes one day when I was 21 I got a mild headache. It is always there and never goes away. It never gets really bad but never gets much better. I'm 24 now, so this has been going on for about 3 years now.

I've tried a LOT of things and seen many doctors. So far they have all been useless. Right now I'm trying a headache elimination diet as described in a book called Heal Your Headache: The 1 2 3 Program for Taking Charge of Your Pain. It basically says that all most headaches are due to the migraine mechanism, triggered by stress and food, among other things, the point at which you experience symptoms determined by your threshold, which is largely genetic.

Take a look at this thread if you want to read more about what I've been going through and what others have suggested:

Hope this works for you... My oldest daughter would complain of headaches since she was very little. She is now 15. I started to go to a Chiripractor for myself, and asked them about her my daughters headaches. I made the app. and they took x-rays- did an adjustment a few times.. voila.. I never hear the headache word. I am sure she gets one fromtime to time. But nothing like before. I swear by a Chiropractor. Bood luck.

I understand how you feel. I suffer from intense miagranes and auras that drive me crazy. Any noise, talking or lights make me want to curl up and die. I've seen my doctor and my doctor keeps prescribing me painkillers. Sometimes they work and other times they dont. At the moment I'm usually co-codamol. I take these (2 of them) as soon as I feel a pressure in my head. It seems to help if I catch it in its tracks.

I would see your doctor about your headaches. Its best to get checked over. Sometimes weak eyesight or if you need glassess can cause headaches. It may be a option to have your eye sight tested too. But I would see your doctor.

If your painkillers aren't working any more it could be because your body has become "accustomed" to the medication and the effect of the pills is like taking water. I've had this problem myself. Speak to your pharmacist/chemist and try a different headache treatment and see if this helps too.

Good luck
