its me again, as usual, with yet-another-worry!

Past few days, have noticed a small brown spot right in the middle of my upper lip, you know where that v-shape bit is on your top lip?? My lip feels a bit 'odd' - and its annoying - ive tested negative for HSV1 & 2 before (at my last GUM clinic visit a few weeks ago)

So, here's how my thought process went.... please can someone confirm im being daft??

1. is it a zit or a wart...... thought process deduced wart... (not sure why)
2. why am i getting a wart on my lip? thought process deduced reduced immunity.
3. why do i have reduced immunity? thought process deduced HIV!!

Note, ive had a bit of a nasty viral/cold type thing for about a week, currently 8/9wks post-exposure....

From my research, ive found that things like oral warts & lesions, and things like that are presented MUCH later in HIV infection, not during 'window' period style timescales....

my worry, on this element is unfounded right?

sometimes if you have a cold then you get sore chapped lips? i wouldnt worry, if it stays and you are still worried then go the walk in centre or docs and they will tell you what it really is!! :)

yeah - thats what i was thinking too actually, its a really bizarre little creature, a little brown spot.... not very big, 2mm across, the lip looks a bit inflamed around it - and it feels a bit sore.........

Dude, how many more times can I say this to you. I have, and still have a messed up mouth. Stress anihalates (sp) the body. Don't keep asking the same questions, you are negative man. I have told you so many times. STRESS! It weakens the immune system!

mate, sorry - i know im being a prat! but my health anxiety has locked onto this - and turned me into a madman!!!!

eg: i have acne, acne gives you infected hair follicles, previously, i thought nothing of it, now when i have three or four infected hairs on my chest?? its folliculitis!

stress sucks!

right - to put my mind at ease, im getting tested next week, which is around 10wks "post-exposure". I'm a healthy person, with a good metabolism, early twenties, no mitigating factors so - if i was going to test positive - by now i would do... but, i know i wont.............

the worst part is, now that iv noticed "A" lip thing (see above) ive noticed lots more, ranging from lips feeling a little "tender" to lots of "dry patches", and this morning, more of my lip feeling a "bit swollen" with a "white spot" shock horror (note - ive never had a cold-sore in my life, yet im still worried about cold-sores, even though, a test 4wks ago showed me as negative for HSV1, 2, and everything else they usually sweep for.........

so... ive also made an appointment with a health-councellor to deal with this stupid anxiety thing.....

i should be happy, ive got a great job, a lot of good friends, everythings going well, ive just focussed SO MUCH on this its tearing me apart, and making me ill.......
