I would like to know safe methods to gain weight. I party alot and most of the time, its over a night party like a rave or a club. I also take E alot and I smoke frequently too. All this leads to weight loss as your staying up all night dancing without much food. Also E surpresses your hungry for food.
I'm 18 years old at 5'9 and 105 lbs. My IB is 16 which is really underweight.
Anyone care to give some tips on how to gain weight.

I believe that smoking can depress the appetite. I'd start with quitting the smoking first. You've heard that people start gaining weight after they stop smoking....
I believe also that long term use of smoking can also cause ulcers, because the gastric juices are stimulated with the activity in the mouth with the cigarette. I'd read up on it, and then decide.
If you are able to do that, I'd suggest staying with high calorie nutritious wholesome foods. Avoid processed foods, as much as possible - especially the high calorie low nutrient varieties.
I've watched too many adults try to quit smoking. It's really tough. I hope that you can. It's so hard, knowing about those nicotine drugs - and what they do to us.

Smoke more weed cause that will give you the munchies. When I smoked cigarettes I was a lot thinner. Unfortunately it is bad for you so I decided I had to quit- I'd rather be chubby than dead! But ok, if you gotta do drugs drink alcohol or smoke weed, you are more likely to eat with those. I know that alcohol isn't exactly the drug of choice for ravers, but I've gone to raves with a bottle of vodka and cranberry and had a great time, I also knew I wouldn't feel like total Sh** for the rest of the week. Then we'd go to Denny's in the morning and I'd be totally hungry from dancing rather than just passing out.
I'm a little worried about you because you weigh so little, it's a sign that maybe your drug use has gotten out of control. Be careful.

Obviously the drugs must be frying and destroying your brain cells if you know they are doing you harm and you continue to take them. If you want to gain weight, quit doing drugs, smoking and partying and start exercising and eating properly and you'll gain weight naturally. You can't have it both ways.

I decide to stop taking Ecstasy, but smoking is going to be alot harder to quit. I'm a bit worry about gaining weight, I heard gaining too much in a short period of tiime is quite harmful. How much added lbs per week would be consider safe? What kind of weight should i aim for?

I just dont want the apperance of being too skinny. I want to be a comfortable 125. Any ideas on gaining weight?

I am 5'9 too and I weight 130 lbs. This is a good weight for my frame and height. I do not smoke and I try to eat healthy. For you, the safest way to gain weight would be to start eating about 500 calories more a day. That would equal to about 1 pound a week. If you want to gain 2 pounds a week, eat 1000 MORE calories a day than you are now. If you aren't hungry but you know you should eat more food, try drinking fruit juice. 1 glass has about 150 calories. So drink 3 or 4 glasses during the day and you will add the calories on. Good luck!
PS- smoking increases your metabolism by 10%, so quit smoking as soon as you can!
