I am a 48 year old woman who has always had a sweet smelling body odor, even when sweating heavily. But recently (within the past two weeks) I have noticed a strong onion smell coming from me when I sweat. At first I thought it was coming from my genital/anal region, but it isn't. It's comes from any place that I sweat from, especially folds in my skin. It is really bad, when I workout or do anything to work up a sweat. The sheets are also staining and smell of onion. Why would my body odor suddenly change like this? I hope someone out there can help!

Have you changed your diet at all? Been eating a particular food more than normal?

Not sure if I am doing this correctly or not..but here goes: :)
I have found the source of the onion smell..and any other weird things I have been smelling (or not smelling at all) lately. It is my sinuses..They are blocked. I recently visited my doctor who sent me for bloodwork, chest x-rays, urine sample, the works..then it hit me..not only am I smelling things that aren't there, i didn't smell a thing when I scrubbed the bathtub and shower out the other day with VIM thick bleach. Anyone who has used this stuff knows how strong the bleach odor is..well, i couldn't smell it at all... That was when it hit me..It must be my sinuses! I have since started snorting Flonase once a day and now my sniffer is working properly again! No more onion smell, unless I am chopping one up on the cutting board! lol
