My brother in law hasn't been feeling 100 percent for three years. He's had a number of test done on him but the doctors really haven't figured out why he hasn't felt great. Some doctors think he might be allergic to dust mites, some think he has asthma. A year ago he had a CT scan. To my knowledge nothing came of it. Last week he had a MRI and will be discussing the results with a neuro doctor in two weeks. My sister has told me just recently that he (my brother in law) seems to be slurring some speech and that his left arm is beginning to feel numb. She fears he has ALS. Could this be possible? He's 30 years old and from my knowledge there's no family history. I'm so scared right now. I realize that I can't diagnose him and that ALS is a hard disease to diagnose, but I'm going stir crazy right now. Please advise.

Thanks for the reply.

Do you think that is a more likely situation for my brother in law?

Thanks
