I have this weird feeling like a panic attack before I go to bed every night like will I be able too sleep tonight and what if I can't then I get really worried and scared this has never happened too me before. I drift off too sleep about an hour - 3 hours after going too bed with this worry and scaredness once I get too sleep I can sleep for hours.
What is wrong with me does anyone know?

Everyone is different. I used to be afraid to go to bed for fear of panic attacks and nightmares. Medication has helped so much with the nightmares, but I still wake up with a panic attack at least once every night. Not severe like they used to be, but enough to give me that "something terrible is going to happen" feeling. Know what I mean? The adrenaline just coursing through me, but its over in about 15-20 minutes at the most. I hear this panic stuff is common in menopause. I've been having anxiety symptoms for 10 years now, and am still having a regular period. But now that I'm also getting hot flashes, I'm hoping it'll be over soon!

Hi Angelstar. I went through exactly what you are going through now and mine was totally menopause related along with the death of my brother and PTSD from a car accident. A GP is not really going to help you. You need to see a Psych and get on something that will help you control your panic attacks while you either find therapy or find a solution to help you guide them better. I take Prozac, helped alot with the panic attacks and the hot flashes, I also have Xanax when needed. This is my suggestion and try to put an end to all of this. I will let you know this, you will not die frompanic attacks, a fear we all have when having panic attacks. It's a matter of not fighting them and seeing them through for them to dissipate. Really, the truth. The more we get panic attacks and run from them, the more they will not go away. Read all about bad nerves. you will find urself in that book.

I know if I went too see my GP should would tell me too keep taking oestrogel which isn't working for me and too loose weight too help with this Aniexty well I have had this anixety since the end of May this year I don't see how takiing something which isn't doing me anything and excerise going too help with my aniexty.
I can't go too sleep until really early in the mornings my head is full of worry and all these questions in my head like will I be able too sleep tonight,I just want them too go away and for me too get the best night sleep I have had in ages. I just want too cry all the time and if I told anyone they would just say remember what your GP said feels like i am going insane here.
is there any herbal stuff I could take?
