I Have Had These Crazy Dizzy Spells For Almost 5 Years Now. I Had Some Eeg's That Were Abnormal Showing Some Funny Readings In My Left Temporal Lobe. The Doctor's Said This Could Be Partial Seizures. I Have Been Taking Depakote Since March 2005. It Hasn't Done Any Good. The Funny Thing Is That I Stay Dizzy All The Time. 24/7. Not Due To The Meds Though, Because This Was Happening Before I Ever Started Any Medicines. The Neurologist Said That I Should Feel Normal In Between Episodes But I Don't. I Stay In A Brain Fog. Not To Mention Terrible Vision. I Feel Like I Am Looking Through A Dirty Window All The Time. It Is Driving Me Crazy. Was Just Wondering If Anyone Else Has Experienced Any Of This. I Am At The End Of My Rope And Really Don't Know What Else To Do. I Felt Better Before The Meds Than I Do Now. Thanks For Listening. Tammy

Tammy, since your EEG was abnormal it most likely is not psuedo seizures as the other poster mentioned. Has the neuro ever tried any other med? It sounds like the Depakote is not helping you at all. You might ask the neuro what else might be causing this brain fog that does not go away. I ahve that some with fibromyalgia. It is worse sometimes than others, though.
I am sure it is driving you batty! Have you had a second opinion? Sounds like it is time since this neuro is not helping aleviate the symptoms. I do agree that you should feel better in between episodes if it is partial seizures that cause the dizzy and brain fog.

Hi to the two of you. I have a lot of things that are the same but the brain fog that you talk a bot is with me all the time in some form. Some times it is just like something crawling around in my head. It fills just like something moveing around up there. From power eye site to a bad taist in my mouth to blacking out to haveing my body go as stiff as a bord and have to have some one work to get me out of my car. I get sick just thinking of food at times to steal filling that way after I eat. I have a bad twitch in my right arm that I have had looked at. I just had an EEG but the doctor at the VA hospitl don't know what he is looking for. I'm in west Tennessee and there is know one out this way .
