Hi all...
I've just recently started coming to this board and I think it's so great, everyone here seems so helpful! (I'm usually on the Thyroid or Smoking Cessation boards)
Anyway, my Dr. has switched me from Prometrium to Provera, (Progesterone) a really small dose, I think 1.25 mg. I don't do well at all on Progesterone...makes me crabby, cravings sweets and carbos like crazy, gaining weight, sad, tearful, depressed, can't sleep..you get my drift? I'm sure you do! I know that it's better to be on the natural type, and Provera is synthetic, but I really don't care, as long as I feel okay.
So is anyone here taking Provera, and feeling well on it? Can't use OTC progesterone cream, as the Dr said it doesn't really contain enough. Using it for menopause symptoms, and since I use Estrace, I need the progesterone to counter act the Estrogen, to avoid endometrial hyperplasia.
Please let me know what your experiance has been on it, how it made you feel, (good or bad), and what dose you took/take. I just started last night, and I'm a little anxious about it,...as a couple friends felt horrible on it, and another feels great on it?!
Thanks! :)
