Do any of you know anything about taking a calcim supplement while on a calcium channel blocker?
I have read mixed views on whether they may or may not interfere with each other.

I will tell you something that I have expereinced with Calcuim Supplement. My blood pressure is 120/80 with medication and after 3 days of a one tablet daily of Calcuim Supplement (600 mg) it has gone to 150/100 and when I stopped the Calcuim Supplement it's back to normal. I don't know HOW or WHY but it didn't reduce my blood pressure
Thanks
Michael

That's incredible Michael.
Info definitely worth pursuing because so many people take calcium supplements. (I eat enough dairy so I don't bother.)

I'm not sure Lenin, maybe when you take natural Calcuim in your diatery it works differently. I don't know but when I took the Supplement my blood pressure went up and when I took it off it's normal again (I was on Medication of course).

Michael,
What kind of supplement did you take? Was it just calcium?

Yes it was just Calcium (600 mg). And you know what, my sister has a low blood pressure 90/60 and I give her this supplement and after 2 days she said that she don't feel dizzy so this means that her blood pressure is good. I know that it sounds crazy because we all have read that Calcium reduces blood pressure but maybe the Supplement is different.

I started to drink milk and it seems like it reduces blood pressure. Believe me this is what happened :)
Thanks,
Michael

I take Norvasc and take Caltrate 600+D, and my blood pressure stays good. In fact my doctor recommended it.
