HI All -
Wondering what TOO LOW would be? I am being treated for HBP (for 10+ years) Taking atenolol 50 mg 2x lotrel 2/20 1x (also take zoloft and small dose of xanax for anxiety) I took my bp and get readings of 105/67 to 113/72 with a resting pulse of 55. Is that too low? When should i be concerned? When i see the doctor its always higher, 120-130/80 or so...
Thanks!
Adma

Adam,
I would get low pulse also, your BP is great though. If you experience dizziness, lightheaded when getting up, etc. then 50 is low for you. Its the beta blocker Atenolol that reduces HBP by reducing heart rate, if its causing problems, ask the doctor to reduce your dosage to 25mgs. Remember consult the doctor first, mine came up to 60's after I reduced, and the cold I felt constantly subsided some.
