I had 10 teeth removed on Sept 1, 2005. Four were wizdom teeth. I developed dry socket in the lower two wizdom teeth. I have had it packed three times with medicine at the dentist office. If it is not better by this Friday when I go back the dentist said he was going to cut the areas open and clean it out. My question is if it will get better by itself then why start over.
Thank for the help

I'm no doctor , but i do have full dentures and have been through what you are going through in the past with a few dry sockets where molers where. I know this is gonna sound yuk , but i used about 3 heaped table spoons of normal salt in a glass , add a tadd of hot water to disolve the salt into the water ( water looks chalky color at this stage ) - then top the rest of the glas up with cold water , do a gargle and rinse ya mouth out ( dont swallow any ! - it isnt poison , but tastes yuk ! ) , I found this healed my mouth in no time and killed any infections too , also toughened the gums up a bit imo , good luck .
