I saw the last hour of it a while back and cried like a baby. It's on this afternoon I think and I have to try and remember to watch it from the beginning. I love James Garner and watch just everything he's in.

Is it on video? I heard about it but have never seen it.

I'm not sure if it yet or not.

I read the book. I don't want to see the movie - they say the ending has been changed which kind of spoils the whole thing.

The book was very moving, sad and painful .. but I aso felt that - in comparison to my Mom - the AD patient in the book was unusually lucid at times. Mom does not really have breakthroughs where she knows everything. She 'seems ' normal for a while, but isn't really.

So I asked myself if the author really went through all this, or is it fiction.

Right now I feel overexposed to everything to do with AD, (like, I know more about it than I ever wanted to!) and I try to avoid the subject except when I read this Board - I feel I can't forget my old friends just because I got my freedom ...

Love,

Martha

Look on the 'net. Or maybe they have it at the library.

I think I'm going to read the book first but who knows with me? I might just change my mind. :)

Most of the time when I read a book and then see the movie, I end up disappointed in the movie. But I do really like James Garner.
