Hi, I am 49 years of age and for about 1 1/2 to 2 years have had a lot of lower back pain. Then about a year ago the painful sex almost impossible sex started. I am done with menopause and haven't had any periods during that time. Up until last week, I thought I had a back problem. Then, I woke up on Tuesday and couldn't get out of bed. The pain was excruciating (sp)! I couldn't stand or sit. Sitting was worse. Anyway, I call my husband at work he came home and took me to the er. They took a urine sample said no bladder, kidney problems gave me a shot of demerol and told me to make an appt with. Went to the Dr and he asked my if I had all my female organs, which I do. Doing a CT scan. My symptoms are lower back pain and lower abd pain - feels like muscle spasms, and burns, painful sex, bloated abdomen, pelvic pain, gas, constipation and diarrhea. Are any of these signs/symptoms of ovarian cancer? Thanks

Sorry To Hear That You Are In So Much Pain. Your Symptoms Are
Worrisome But Do Not Mean You Have Ovarian Cancer. Do You Have
Any Problems With Your Stomach? Did You Ever Have Xrays Taken Of
Your Back? Is Painful Intercourse Because Of Movement In Your Back Or Because Of Vaginal Pain? Painful Intercourse Could Be Because Of Dryness In You Vagina Or An Infection. Have You Had Any
Vaginal Bleeding? You Need To Have A Ca125 To Rule Out Ovarian Ca.
I Am Surprised That Your Gyn Would Not Have Done Some Tests On
You When You Go For Your Pap Given Your Symptoms. Your Symptoms Could Be Indications For Many Different Problems, including Bowel, Kidney And Female Problems. Hopefully
The Ct Scan Will Help In Determining The Cause Of Your Pain. Hope
All Will Be Resolved For You Shortly. Let Use Know How Everything Went.

I have burning at times and wondered if I maybe had an ulcer. Never had xray of my back. Sex is painful because of vaginal pain, I have been to 2 ob gyns this year because of the sex problem and they have done paps that came back normal and gave me vaginal suppositories that really didn't work. I told them and my husband it feels like something is in the way. I know that sounds stupid. I haven't had any vaginal bleeding. My family phy didn't think it was anything to do with my back as it was hurting around to my abdominal area also. I will have the CT tomorrow and will let you know. A friend of mine said maybe it could also be uterine fibroids. Have you had ovarina ca or uterine fibroids? I am the type that is never sick and really don't go to the dr much, so this is really worrying me. Thanks for responding.
