Hi everyone, I posted a little while back about getting an abnormal pap. I went in for a colposcopy and they determined that I just needed cryotherapy to hopefully treat the problem. I had this done on Tuesday. Now today (Friday) I'm noticing a um bad smell "down there." I know that's icky and I don't mean to gross anyone out. I'm just wondering if this is normal? The doctor gave me a pamphlet on what to expect afterwards and it did say that the watery discharge would have a smell, but it doesn't explain what kind of smell. And the doctor told me to contact her if I get a "foul smelling discharge." I'm not sure if this qualifies, but it's sure not a good smell. It's not fishy or anything... it almost smells more like burning flesh or something. It's really hard to explain! But I don't see how it could not smell bad... I mean the tissue is frozen and then thaws out... it's dead tissue. ew. Anyway, I can't contact her today because the office closes at 11:00 a.m. on Fridays. Does anyone out there know if this could be normal or not? I haven't had any other problems with it.
