Hey!
Any suggestions for tasty, zesty snacks that i can have that are high in protein, and very very little on the carbs?
Im on this new high protein diet, and im finding it hard at first to deal with...
Thanks!

How did you find out about this diet? Is it just something you are following on your own, or is it part of some program? I'm guessing you're on your own, or else it would be explained to you about what to eat and the routine etc.

The high-protein, low-carb diet is very popular. I was put on it when I joined an aerobics class. Your body burns carbs first, then fat. So the theory is, the less carbs you have, the quicker your energy will go to burn the fat. Try snacking on little packs of lunch meat. celery and peanut butter, raisins...It's a good idea to pre-pack these snacks so you can grab and go. Otherwise you will be more likely to grab some chips or something mroe handy. Let me know how things go for ya!

Also, there are nutrition bars that are based on high protein that you can carry around with you. And there's always cheese - string cheese is a good snack. Good luck.

Spicy pork rinds! I loved them when I was on the low carb diet. They are probably the only 0-carb snack on the market. If you take to them, you'll love them. My boyfriend doesn't care for them, but everyone else I know is crazy about them. Give them a try! If you don't like the spicy, get the plain.

Having been on the Atkins diet for quite some time now, these are some of my favorite snacks.
Tuna + Mayonaise (Awesome if you're trying to build muscle)
Beef Jerky
Green Veggies + Ranch
Eggs + Salsa
Pork rinds + Tabasco
Small salads w/ mayo or ranch
Leftover Dinner meats
Cheeses (limited amounts, a few string cheese is fine)
These should keep you busy.
Back when I was lifting weights daily, I would eat three cans of tuna daily for the protein content. It's good stuff, and with mayo added you get all those wonderful fats that you need so badly.
Ciao.

I'm on the Atkins diet.
I love to have my Sugar free jello and Whipped Cream. ( sugar and carb free)
I get the Whipping cream that has no sugar or Carbs and i Mix til it gets really nice and firm. I add fake sugar. ANd u can put that ontop of the jello and it's sooo good!
My daughter loves it too!
