I always seem to to wake up with a headache at the front of my head. Its a dull ache which lasts all day and pills dont seem to shift it.

I think it may be a sleep pattern thing because Mon - Fri I dont get them and I wake up the same time every day.

At the weekends though, I either get up earlier to go fishing or later to sleep in. If I do either of these things I wake up with a headache every Sunday.

I am not stressed about anything, especially at the weekend. I am involved in fishing matches at the weekends (on Sundays) and am not stressed about that as I love it.

I don't drink and although am a smoker don't have many and no more at the weekend.

What do you think this could be and what could I do to stop it happening? :confused:

Hi Darren;

The hours sleeping could be right on the money. One of the natural things we can do to prevent h/a is to go to bed at the same time every night and wake up at the same time.

Do you spend Sundays 'vegging out'? What also happens to many is that they will go, go, go Monday to Saturday or Monday to Friday and then when the go go go and other commitments that week are done, their bodies go into 'relax' mode and that stimulates a h/a.

When I was a student I would wake up every Fri. nt/Sat. am and the same the next night with a raging headache. A fairly normal occurence.

Good luck//Chaz

I was told by my neurologist that the reason I was getting my headaches at the end of the week was because I was starting to relax from a stressful week. She said you would think it would be worse when you are stressed but it is actually the process of releasing the stress that a headache will kick in.

I also would keep a log of the activities and food that might be different on the weekends.

Good luck!

Maybe you're allergic to the fish. :D
