i am going through a lot of stress right now and i have been on meds for yr to help but it has recently gotten worse and as usual i get horrible tension headaches from clenching my jaw.its always on my left side and when i am sleeping is when i do the most damage. ive tried mouth gaurds and other things with no relief. its easy for people to say dont clench it but im not even aware of it when i do it!! i have pain in my left shoulder muscles too from clenching and tightening up. what it the best helpful relief method to at least alleviate the prob some what. tylenol, advil do nothing for me.

I would try maybe excedrin for tension headace, or maybe ask your
doctor, if you think you are needing something stronger. But you might
look into TMG at your dentist. They make those plates for people to wear
in their mouth at night to keep from grinding and clenching. My sister wears
one. She is a very active sleeper and her partner makes her wear it at night.
I believe that could give you your headaches! Kim

I take a muscle relaxer (Soma) at night. It helps me fall asleep and keeps me from being too tense.
