everybody always says eating 3 meals a day on the same time is better than eating more small meals during a day, cuz your body gets used to the times it has to digest? or something? now here i keep reading about eating 5-6 small meals a day to increase your metabolism? so what is it??

I have never heard anyone say that 3 meals is BETTER (but that is what I do). 5-6 smaller meals are recommended by some as being better to boost metabolism and also for some digestive disorders.

Like everything, I think the important thing is what works for you.

i think if the calories in 3 meals is the same as in 6 meals, there won't be a difference in weight gain.

but for apetite control, 6 meals is better imo. i'm always munching on something and i never feel hungry..eat 4-6 times daily.

No one has ever said that 3 meals is better. It just used to be the norm and prescribed thing to do.

Now people are realising that 5 - 6 smaller meals a day helps to keep up metabolism (great for weight loss) and keeps people from being hungry and therefore stops temptation (great for weight loss)

Just make sure the smaller meals together add up to the right amount of calories.
