Sponsor Shane S 09-21-2003, 12:46 AM Like other oils, it's entirely fat, so it doesn't contain fiber. backpacker 09-21-2003, 02:29 AM Flax seeds ground up (I use a little coffee grinder), on the other hand, have lots of good fiber. You can grind 1/4 c every morning and sprinkle it on salads or your dinner, etc. It has a nutty taste. The oil mainly helps you get your omega-3 fatty acids, but you must not heat it up. However, even if you heat the ground seeds, the fiber will still benefit you. zip2play 09-22-2003, 09:59 AM A nutty, VERY BITTER taste. I can't hack it! auntjudyg 09-22-2003, 11:06 AM The omega-3 fatty acids in flax seed oil are not assimilated very well by the body, so it is better to get them from fish oil. |
