Grumps

I have been placed on a restictied diet for 2 weeks by my GP to establish if I have an intolerance to certian types of food.
Although it is hard - not as bad as I thought I had visions of only being able to eat brown rice and cabbage.
Anyway, the first day was the worst I was very very thirsty and I had a very bad headache all day and was extremely bad tempered this I am convinced was due to not drinking any caffine - I am or rather was not a big coffee drinker but I love my can of diet coke a day.
I am currently on day 2 and I feel much better more energy, no tummy pain or bloating and more importantely no constipation.
Once I have completed the 2 weeks I can then start introducing the 'banned foods' at a rate of 2 each day and noting the affects - has anyone done anything similar and how did you get on - any info would be great

Why doesn't your doctor just give you a referrel to an allergist who can do the food allery testing then and there. It takes abut 1/2 to get the results. Wouldn't that be alot easier? I just went last week and I was amazed at how fast it was. Just a suggestion.
