Hello,

Three months ago i noticed that whenever my blood goes up to my head (when i bend over , carry heavy stuff...etc) i see some white spots. My whole head (including forehead) is supposed to be red without white spots , it freaked out everyone around me. :(

I went to a doctor once and he told me it's natural and that the white spots are the areas that my blood can't reach , therefore the color remains the same (white). I don't believe him , it can't be natural , it suddenly showed up.

Here's a picture of my forehead , and beneath it another picture of my forehead when it's full of blood (i was bending over when i took that picture) :

(note : the spots are more obvious in reality. My camera doesn't show them well)
is this serious? and what doctor should i go to?

Any help would be so much appreciated . I'm really desperate :(

No. I'm fairly stymied. Are you fair skinned?

You mean "fair skin" as in "light skin"? if so , then i guess not. I'm closer to a latino skin type. It's not as white as it is in the picture.

I would try a dermatologist.

I agree with Crabbyroad. A dermatologist could probably tell you exactly what is going on.

That will somewhat happen to everyone when they bend over or pick something up (straining) yours just seems more apparent.

If you do see a doctor report back, okay?

I'm intersted in what they tell you.

I went to a dermatologist and two other doctors. The dermatologist said it has nothing to do with the skin. He said that the blood isn't reaching the white area and that's normal. I don't believe him though.

The two other doctors were amazed. They didn't know what to say (even though they were experts) and told me that they've never seen anything like that in their career. One of them even gave me his phone number so i tell him what it is if i ever find out :(

Now i'm a bit scared. They make it sound like it's something new that i only have. They couldn't identify what it is. I can't even search the internet for a cure since i don't know what the hell is going on here.

Even though it doesn't hurt me , but people look at me with disgust when it shows up , and i really hate that.

Now i'm saving up for a doctor whose experience is about blood veins (i don't know what he's called). If anyone could help me now or at least identify the "thing" , i'd really appreciate it. :(

Hi! You know I saw the blotches on your forhead, and I'm not sure, but you call them white spots, but they could be red spots and the white is just your normal color. I have seen it before on people when they get flushed. It seems to be a raise in blood pressure. Maybe all the blood is just not reaching certain parts of your head. Do you have high blood pressure? Do you have any other symptoms? I would see a second opinion. Did you have this all your life? I wouldn't worry too much.

hi M77, a while back I had a wart on my foot which required regular burnings at the doctor. When he would burn the wart with liquid nitrogen, my foot would become splotchy, red and white...looking at your pics it was identical to your forehead. My doc called it blanching (which means to lose color or turn white) and he said it was normal and due to blood rushing to my foot very quickly (in response to the burning).

Well yes , those spots in my head aren't white , they're my normal skin colors. The blood isn't reaching those areas for some reason , and the spots are getting bigger every few days which means less blood is reaching them.

My blood pressure is normal. I don't have any other symptoms , except sometimes i feel a little pressure on the back of my head , i'm not sure whether it's normal or not though.

mauvais , i tried searching for "blanching" with various search terms , but i still can't find anything related to what's happening to me. :(

I thought doctors could at least identify these things. I just need to know the NAME of this "thing" :(
