Hi everyone. I have a question about the malar rash. A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with the malar rash and raynaud's by my neurologist at the time. I also have MS, Hypothyroidism, and am being tested for Sjogren's Syndrome. About a year and a half ago when my rheumy was examining me she said that the rash on my face was starting to look like Rosacea. I went to the dermatologist and he agreed with my rheumy, but he was across the room when he said it. Anyway, this is my question. Yesterday I was in the sun a lot. Today I notice that my nose is a little more red than usual and is stinging a lot. Can the malar rash cause stinging? Or does anyone know if this is only seen in Rosacea? When I went inside after being in the sun my face was bright red. I also noticed the redness on my neck and chest. The rash on my face is always there, but is usually mild. I can alsways see it though. I plan to make an appointment with a dermatologist today. But I don't know if I should make it with the same one or get a second opinion. Well, thanks for reading.
