Has anyone had dramatically different T scores for each hip? One of mine is -3.5 and the other is -2.2. I've also tried Actonel and Fosamax and my stomach cannot handle either. I was told there is only one other medicine but it would have the same effect on my stomach. I had screening labs for metabolic bone disease. Now that I've been told there is no medication I can take, are these scores something to worry about. I've never had a fracture.

Hi,
I'm sorry to hear about your T Scores but surprised that both your hips were tested. I only had one tested and for awhile went around thinking that I only had osteoporosis in one hip! I would be worried about the -3.5 T Score as that's in the severe range. I can't tolerate Fosamax either and my doctor started me on Forteo a year ago. It's an injectable medication used daily so there's no stomach problems just a few needle marks. You might ask about it as you would qualify since some of your osteoporosis is in the severe range.
