just curious if others out there get a daily vertigo type dizziness as part of tension headaches, or worsening vertigo episodes preceding or following a migraine?

I do.

I get various symptoms at different times, but vertigo is often one of them.

I also get facial numbness, paresthesias and a hard to describe buzzing, electrical feeling in my head. I've lost sight for a 1/2 a second a time or two, which is scarey.

Sometimes I'm phonophobic. Sometimes I'm photophobic. Sometimes I'm nauseas.

I get the attacks (as a general rule) in groups of 3-4 days with 3-4 days in between with relatively few symptoms (although I'm always tired and a bit "tilty").

This sounds almost exactly like my problem. I can knock the pain down with Excedrin Migraine. It's been about 4 months. MRI was normal. I do take Lipitor are you on any statins? I'm looking for a link I guess....

I'm not on any medications at all right now, although I do have a trial bottle of Topamax sitting on my night stand just daring me to take it. :D I guess I'm lucky that I don't get the headache portion of migraine. I do get tension headaches often though.
