View Full Version : Working on a get-ripped diet :)

I'm working on a get-ripped diet. I lift weights 5 days of the week, exchanging on the group of muscles every day. Basically, I tried a super-high protein super-low carb diet. I ended up losing weight and muscle through this method. I only weigh 140 pounds, and I lost 10 pounds in about 3 weeks. So I got off the diet since this is NOT what I want. I decided that I'd change it to super-high protein, and whatever inbetween. Right now, I eat two cans of tuna a day, a can of chicken breast twice the amount of protein of the tuna, 4 eggs, and as much meat as I can get at my job (normally a lot), and 7 servings of 2% milk at least. At any rate, today, I got at least 213 grams of protein in my 140 lb body. I'm already pretty strong (I can bench my weight after 5 months of lifting weights.) Does this sound like enough protein to accomplish this goal? If not, what kinds of food should I add to the diet? Tuna is getting to be really sick-tasting and the chicken is expensive to buy. I am against whey protein and stuff like that since it can give you kidney stones. Any suggestions?

Sorry. It's also important to note that I don't want to grow too much ******d. I don't really lift weights for anything besides the fact that it helps my emo-image. Being skinny but ripped is kind of the idea. I know that most people end up toning their muscles from using light weights, but I'm not easily building bulk, just because of my body size.

Also, it might be important to note that I work pretty intensive. Every excersize, I do 12-10-8 for every excersize. I make sure to do as much as possible (I won't be able to do more than 12 after the first set). I try to set the weights up that I get temporary exhaustion after each set.

If a picture of myself is necessary to help with diet plans, then I can post one. I seem to have a fairly fast metabolism, and I find it kind of hard to gain weight, which is good, because I don't want to, as I said.
